A (Mostly) Qualitative, (Somewhat) Analytical Overview of Practicable Improvements and Possible Further Research into UNSW Skylabs' Aircraft Design and Manufacture
"As participants in the AIAA Design, Build, Fly competition, UNSW Skylabs stands to gain a significant advantage from the implementation of a number of, non-trivial, but technically well-understood improvements to the design and manufacture of our aircraft. This paper will explore a number of these improvements, including the use of composites and high-strength lightweight materials, wingtip devices, higher-performance flaps, a twin-engine design, and impact-resistant delivery for sensitive payloads."

"The upcoming DBF25 competition will be instrumental in establishing UNSW Skylabs DBF as a primary and highly competitive team of bright engineers in aeronautics. This paper aims to provide a (moderately) comprehensive overview of past AIAA Design, Build, Fly competitions, and how learnings can be drawn from past winning teams to maximise chances of success."
